Research has shown that Food security is important for the physical and mental health of older adults. According to the CDC, Food insecure older adults are more likely to be in fair or poor health, with frequently associated comorbidities including diabetes, depression, hypertension, and heart disease. The Bayview Senior Services Nutrition team works tirelessly to address the need for nutritious food for those in need by preparing 1,000 hot meals daily Monday through Friday.
