Art for Aid

Art for Aid is a project which allows me to share my art and give back to the community. I am offering several of my original artworks to be sold and 100 percent of the proceeds will go to supporting the InterGenerational program at Bayview Senior Services. Your purchase will help fund community activities which engage and bring together youth and seniors. It will also fund and support our food services and education programing. I have been creating art for most of my life. The artworks for sale spans 4 decades and every piece reflects my changing styles and themes throughout the  years.

William Rhodes
I was born in Baltimore, MD and attended the Baltimore School for the Arts. I later received a BA in Furniture Building and Design from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and a MFA from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. My creative works are in the collections of various galleries and museums. Most recently, my work was included in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. Along with my studio art practice; I dedicate part of my time developing Intergenerational community based art projects and hosting art classes and tours throughout Italy. I am the co-founder of a Black art collective in San Francisco called 3.9. The 3.9 Art Collective was formed in 2011 in response to the declining Black population in San Francisco.
