The Dr. George W. Davis Senior Center serves as a hub of community services for over 500 seniors, providing information, social services, health screenings, actvities and noon meals featuring healthy soul food.

The Center is primarily funded by the San Francisco Department on Aging and Adult Services. 

In addition to the services and structured programs, the Senior Center also serves as central meeting place-a true community center where some seniors wait for the doors to open in the morning so that they can relax, catch up with their friends and neighbors, play pool or dominoes, and drink coffee.

The Center retains the values of a community village that elders from historical Southern Black communities have brought to the Bayview, creating their own small town with people who have known each other for decades.
